Photo captured at early morning of Chhat Puja... Devotees are worshiping the God Sun with his first look... They used to worship the Surya (Sun) when the Sun rises.
This is a moment when the Sun yet to came out, but a faded daylight of dawn was there... They arranged all according to the tradition.

fine close-up shot!
It΄s for me always interesting to discover India΄s long and rich culture thanks to your pictures.
What I here really enjoy next to so well applied close-up is the way you nicely "separated" the main subject from the BG-blurry backdrop looks great and intensify the perception of the main subject.

Hi Subhendu,
Before my first trip in Asia, this is the kind of images I would be impressed by when looking at Lonely Planet guidebooks, because so much is revealed about the culture and spirituality of a place, focusing on rituals and their significance, even in the smallest details.
Good use of the shallow depth of field, the well placed flame and the colourful elements against gray background.

the colours are soothing and heart warming, they're sustantial and fulfilling too. I love how you've filled the foreground with details, textures, brightness and warmth and how this rich assortment rises and culminates in a captivating flame.
