These girls beong to the muslim Uyghur community of Kashgar in West China. They have shaved heads in order to grow thick and nice hair.
Kashgar is an oasis town in the very West of China at the junction of the Northern and the Southern Silk Road and has a very long history in trade. A very friendly and fascinating place.
