About 1.4 million Bai people live in Yunnan Province, China. The Shaxi Valley is 95 percent Bai.
These woman were attending a "temple fair" in the valley - lots of beans and cigarettes for everyone. The people there were happy and interesting. It was a gold mine for our photographing.
