Photographer's Note
Ocean Park comprises two sections, the Headland and Lowland.
At the Headland, there are many rides including the Dragon, Eagle, Crazy Galleon, Ferris Wheel, Ocean Park Tower, Flying Swing, Raging River, Space Wheel and Mine Train - which is shown in the photo.
The Ocean Park web site - www.oceanpark.com.hk - includes videos of many of these rides, so you can experience them for yourself - from the comfort of your own PC!
The Mine Train track is 678 metres long and the highest point is 85metres above the sea.
When I took this photo, of these visitors from Mainland China (I know this because I saw their tour group), they were at the top of a large drop.
I was thinking of just focusing on the top three carriages, to show some expressions more clearly, but I like the way the mother was protecting her child.
Tech: Cropped to frame the curved track. Resized and sharpened.

Several persons are very shy, because have been together grimaced, Andrew, your photograph is still very sharp, despite the speed of the dragon, excellent composition, and very well done!

Yes, the protective gesture of the mother in the front car is good to be included in the frame, Andrew. Good diagonal from the rollercoaster and interesting to see the different ways in which the folks are dealing with the, ehm, situation. The maze of patterns in the back is good and quite non-intrusive. It seems to be slightly noisy, as if you cropped it out of a larger shot. The tension of the moment is still well conveyed, good shot.

Wow. nice pic. You know the first thing that came to my mind though, that most of the people in this ride were fully grown people and not the usual screaming kids and teenagers.
you captured their looks well :-)

I agree that the grain is a bit disturbing, but it's worth it to get these expressions. This is a fun moment to capture because we can so many reactions. Did you ride it Andrew?

Hi Andrew, you captured a rich scala of emotions here: fear, daredeveling, protection and through the motion blur all potrayed with great dynamism. The very industrial looking metal supporting structure forms a great frame. Very well seen & done.

Nice curve on top of a background consisting of various pipes and tubes, Andrew, in whichever direction, color and shape. Although quite noisy I like the feeling that is mediated by the increased angle of the train and the expressions of it's passengers. I think you did good in including the front wagons - not just because of the protective mother - because this is where the 'dive' is the steepest. The backdrop contributes to the seemingly uncontrolled impression. Well done!

I think you did great, it's not easy to have a perfect shot with moving car, so even with the noise, maybe too much sharpness or zoom, but I like it, the sensation of speed is there and your point of view is just fantastic. Very nice action shot, well composed, good work.

i don't think it's a perfect work, but i love your title as most of the others,Andrew~ very funny and actually proper here:)
maybe because of the long distance,it's focusless and lack of rich colors, but u cropped it well with the curve train crossing the pic nice, and all travellors were seccessful to be a models for u~
cheers,

Well made 'action shot' Andrew. Good position of your camera, well captured expression from the group, and the main motive is well placed in the compo

Oh - sorry I was about to comment on this some time ago but got disturbed. A fine action shot indeed - I like the motion blur and the look of at there faces - surely a singing train in the sky :-) also a nice graphics made by the different structures - thanks Andrew (I must check one of my old holiday shots - thanks for the inspiration as well)
