Photographer's Note
Hangzhou, situated 120km southwest of Shanghai, is the administrative capital of Zhejiang province, and with a population of 6.4m it is Zhejiang's largest city.
As one of China's six ancient capitals Hangzhou possesses a proud and distinguished history: it was the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279AD); the southern terminus of the Grand Canal, the artery that kept the mandarins of the north supplied with rice, vegetables and textiles; and the birthplace of Song Si, a poetic form that, alongside the poetry of the Tang Dynasty, stands as the cornerstone of Chinese literature, much as Chaucer and Shakespeare are to the English-speaking world.
Emperors, poets and painters have all been inspired by the natural beauty of Hangzhou; a beauty that stirred Marco Polo to describe Hangzhou as a "paradise on earth" in his Travels.

Hi,
Beautiful shot to the given circumstances, which weren't the best, poor light and unclear visibility. Nice composition and good moment, also interesting notes.

Curious I was commenting it before and suddenly it was gone and now it is back .... so
A good one Prem
like the mood in this beautiful scene, the soft coloring very appropriate here, nicely framed the boat and the house aside the curve in the water, good higher perspective angle with the congerving point slightly outcentered, a nice shot !
Go easy on borders that they don't demand too much attention, here it is still good but firm.

Hi Prem...Chinese and the Japanese has a minimalistic way of creating heavenly garden. Make it simple, make it natural and make it easy to be with oneself. The mood is quiet and peaceful here. Just the playground for the mind, to do its work at its best. Your composition is pretty suggestive, making one feel there's more to it than what one sees.

Hi Premanand,
The balance between sharpness and softness of the image is lovely. I like your angle of capture too. Is it taken from a bridge? Nice work.
regards, Raza
