Photographer's Note
a little tourist crying near Angkor Wat... When I spotted this crying little girl in this hat I knew I had to take a picture of her... and there was just a second to get the shot... I composed the picture nicely, but I didn't focus well... but i still like this image.
I cancelled my trip to India today. I am still sick, I am going back home to Poland on tuesday, I really need some rest.

Superbe portrait, l'expression de dιtresse est encore visible dans le regard de la petite fille. Elle est absolument splendide sous son chapeau, les couleurs vives rιhaussent trθs bien l'image. bravo et bon retour

Hie Maciej, get well soon. Teary big round eyes and exasperated expression. What more could we get from this. The not so focus well, I wouldn't worry about it. A little mystery goes a long way.

Gorgeous image Maciek. That the girl can give you such a direct gaze in the midst of her tears is quite remarkable. The slight softness of the focus works really well with the subject. Beautiful work. I'm glad you were able to salvage some images.
When I returned from India I was physically exhausted from parasites. Whatever is going on for you, I'm glad you are putting your health first at this moment. There will be other trips and other images to capture. Be well.

Beautiful portrait Maciej. Excellent composition, close to her face. Lovely colour tones, but the highlight for me are the big dark eyes full of tears...hope her sadness was shortlived!

what a fantastic shot, it is easy to take shots of places but it is very hard to capture a portrait in such a good way as you did. i think the focus is fine actually, and the framing is absolutely superb...Amazing!
