Photographer's Note
Bayon is a well-known and richly decorated Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the official state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom. The similarity of the 216 gigantic faces on the temple's towers to other statues of the king has led many scholars to the conclusion that the faces are representations of Jayavarman VII himself.

Hello Chris,
A fine capture of this beautiful and unusual monument. You have framed the shot well, making good use of the backdrop offered by the vegetation and the sky with their contrasting colours. A pleasantly lit image with very good colours and clarity.

Hello Chris,
very interesting tower with faces sculpted in the rock. The POV you chose shows one from the front and the other in profile - that gives better idea of the whole monument. I like a bit of the trees included in composition - they add some life and subtlety. Pretty colors, light and very good sharpness.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Hi Chris!
This is surely a magnificent detail of such amazing site! We can still see the expressions of the statues, I'm sure they were amazing in the old days. Perfect light and beautiful colours. I like the way you framed them.
