Photographer's Note
The morning market in Rajshahi, its cold, colder than normal ,in fact the coldest winter on record he tells us and then leans back to enjoy his cigarette. Unfortunately, smoking is still seen as something glamourous, maybe even "stoere". It may have something to do with the fact that British American Tobacco Company is the largest multi-national company in the country.

Hi Elaine, Fantastic portrait of this man smoking although I do not approve it. Super b photo. What is he selling? Just onions probably but looks like flowers bulbs.

Again a wonderful portrait. I like, the light, the harmony of tones, the dark background, the mountain of onions,the smoke (even if that's come from cigarette) and how he is looking at you.

Hi Elanie,
he doesn't look quite the same with out his horse, blue jeans and stetson hat but i guess that's what happens when you smoke.
great portrait, good colours and the dark background pulls the colours to the front and makes them stand out.
