This picture have been taken during the Durga puja, the biggest Bengali Hindu festival. The festival widely celebrate on Bangladesh and Eastern part of India.
On other part of India this festival is celebrate as a name of Navaratri and the 10th day of the festival called as Dashara.

Hi Debashis,
I like the strong contrast and light, I think this could look good in B&W too..good shot, but the name/watermark at the bottom of the image detracts form the quality somewhat.

Nice Picture - the play of light & shade over the Goddess - the light on the arms & the glitter of the ornaments.
But - please do check on the Notes. In India - other than in Bengal & Eastern India, people celebrate Dusshera on the Dashami Day of the Puja.

We get a nice atmosphere despite having been the black background, the face makes all very well
I find your picture gives perfect volume at thise photograph.
