Photographer's Note
We had the first Old City of Baku festival this year on 5 to 8-th June. Many old traditions and scenes from daily life were performed on the streets of Icheri Sheher.
This man seemed to be the only one not amazed, maybe because not so many men wear hats these days.
The hat for a man is allegory of his dignity and personal values, in local culture. It is a bit outdated tradition and remembered by old school guys like this one on the photo. So this is basically what my photo is all about.

I like the look on his face although catching his eyes would be even better. He seems a bit frustrated. The line of the hats is good as well in the arc. Ironic that he himself isn't wearing a hat! Oh, one thing I do think would make it an even better shot would be to shoot upward from a lower angle. This would have been quite interesting, I think.

This is a great photo. I felt like reading an article on Azerbaijan on the National Geographic. The expression on the man's face and your locating him on the left side along with the hat and the name of the shop are all terrific. Very well done!
