Ortakoy is a village located in the periphery of Istanbul, along the Bosphorus.

The Bosphorus connects the Black sea with the sea of Marmara. It is approximately 30 km long with a width between 550 and 3700 m.

Two bridges crosse the Bosphorus and connects dus Asia and Europa. Here is the first of the two bridges. This bridge ( 1074 m long) was completed in 1973.

The mosque of Ortaköy and its two minarets are located in European bank of the Bosphorus.
