Again Algarve and in this case one of the most beautiful beaches of Lagos

In the WS, one picture of the park near the beach

I hope you like it !

The Dona Ana Beach is situated in between golden rocky cliffs.
This is a good spot for diving and observing the beautiful sea fauna and flora.
The access to this beach is made through a long and inclined stairway.

How to get here
In Lagos follow the Avenida dos Descobrimentos. After the fire station turn left in the roundabout and follow the signage to Ponta da Piedade. Follow the signage to Dona Ana Beach.

Restaurants; Toilets; Car parking; Blue Flag Beach.

Lagos is a dynamic and active city, which is justifiably proud of its past and possesses a very rich and well preserved patrimony.

The region of Lagos has a long history linking it to the sea. Its original name, Lacobriga, reflects the fact that the first inhabitants of this port, in roughly 2000 years BC, were of Celtic origin. After them came the Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthaginians, but it was the Romans that brought growth and prosperity to the town. The Moors built walls around Lagos in the 10th century and gave it the name of Zawaia. They remained here until the town was conquered by the Christians in 1249 and became part of the Portuguese territory.

Dear Aires,
You were there very early I guess: no people and so much light. Only available in the morning, as are the parking spaces around it.
Beautiful view. Amazing colors and light.
Very well composed and framed.
Very relaxing just by looking at it.

This famous coast is really photogenic!
the composition is simple perfect in my view and taste and what I like best are the tender natural colours both of the sand and the sea. For a seascape lover like myself this is a real paradise.

Hi Aires,

beautiful next photo from the Algarve series. Typical beach of the coast - nice rather small sandy beach surrounded by the high cliffs. this time quite empty. What are the dark patches in the water/ In Red Sea it would be the reef with all its life, here probably some algs. i can see a path up there. I liked to go for a walk on the cliffs. i suppose I was here but I am not sure.

An interesting beach scene, well shown from an elevated point of view!
Seems like a well sheltered place - both from sea and landside...

It could fit perfectly for a National Geographic cover and i remember so clearly that nice beach when Annette and Me drove from Sevilla to Lagos for a day trip ...but light conditions were not as privileged as in your shot ...I love the colour and a sensation of softness that floods the scenery
