Hello Gwen,

If a photograph interests a viewer then you have achieved a success. This certainly interested me. The light shining across the frame, almost on a diagonal, works well. Because of the context it seems to have extra religious significance.
I wonder if you were to lighten the shadows a little it would reveal the details more, without losing the atmosphere!
I hope you are not offended if I try a workshop.

Que bela arquitetura, a Basνlica Saint Peter. Fiquei curioso em conhecer os detalhes do lugar. Quanto a imagem, por ela sσ, dispensaria qualquer comentαrio. Ι simplesmente deslumbrante: na composiηγo, contrastes, cores e nitidez.Vale observar o detalhe da claridade entrando pelo basculhante, o efeito bem interessante.

What a beautiful architecture, the Saint Peter Basilica. I was curious about the details of the place. As the image, for she alone, would dispense any comment. It is simply stunning: the composition, contrasts, colors and detail nitidez.Vale observe the light coming in through basculhante, the effect quite interesting.

First of all, welcome on TE ;)
The interior looks beautiful and you caught perfectly the ray of light entering inside the Basilica, creating a kind of diagonal in the frame.
In this kind of place, the exposure is not easy because of the low light condition.

Hello Gwen - The shaft of light is cleverly captured and adds a kind of spiritual commentary to this shot. Now I've never tried this type of thing and I imagine that it is tricky to manage the exposure. I think you have done well but a tripod would have enabled you to lower the ISO and stop down more resulting in a crisper image. Of course I guess you wouldn't be allowed to use one in the Vatican!
