Photographer's Note

Those words from the famous novel of Hemingway came into my mind when I saw this fisherman and his nets on a cold , rainy autumn evening in the lake of kastoria.
People often ask me why I do not post pictures from the country where I live. Greece is for me the country where I work and rarely I spend anymore time for holidays here. I was left to admire some of the amazing landscapes and sights of my homeland through the works and postings of many of you and never had the time to take some pictures of my own.
So in one of the very rare occasions I visited Kastoria, I had had the chance to take some pictures and feeling the numbness of a newcomer I post this picture for you.

Γειά σου Σάββα
Πιστεύω πως ότι αισθάνθικες με την αποθανάτιση του πορτρέτου του ψαρά αποδόθηκε και με την παρουσίαση την λεκτική και με το B&W. Ο συνειρμός και η λίμνη της Καστοριάς που αστράφτει πίσω
από την βάρκα κυριαρχούν και ενισχύουν την εικόνα και με την δυναμική των γραφών του Hemingway κάνοντας την λίμνη να μοιάζει θαλασσα!
Επαινώ περιμένω την επόμενη!

Beautiful lighting, great composition and very crisp.
The black and white is really nice and suits this picture as it really shows up the lines on this mans face.
