Vermont's Northeastern Kingdom
Clyde River
The river winds through farm country, with silver maple and alder dominating the shoreline. Northern white cedar, an occasional willow, and a variety of shrubs line the 40-foot wide waterway, and vegetation dips right into the water. Even during spring high water, the barely perceptible current presents no obstacle. The same cannot be said for the beaver that undercut the streamside silver maple, toppling them into the water to make logjams. Be prepared to portage around their handiwork.

This is a nice autumn shot of this peaceful river scene. The reflection is great giving the scene depth and balance. The lighting and colors are fine and the photo has great sharpness. The river leads the eye through the shot nicely.

A lovely capture from your kayak no doubt or were you on a bridge? Anyway the water is a rich black colour which allows the vegetation to show well.

Alder is a tree that loves the location near rivers!
And creating picturesque scenes like this...
The calm water reflects the surroundings and I think I can see a brown trout down there...!

This is a nice autumn scene for sure. IMO though, it feels a bit static and needs some life added to it. Some motion of the river itself or maybe your kayak or canoe.

This is really great. I'm fed up with cold winter here in Poland so I can't wait such view. Wonderful reflections in the water and beautiful autumnal colours. Lovely composition with the river leading my eyes in a great way. I like it.
