Photographer's Note

Another shot from Moraine Lake, in Banff National Park. Certainly one of the most photogenic locations I've ever been to, and one that never disapoints. Not only are the mountains spectacular, but there is wonderful lake, and the light conditions are often quite amazing - how can you go wrong? There is a trail from the parking lot that goes up on top of a hill at the end of the lake (known as the Rockpile) and most people stay on top of the hill to take pictures. If you are part mountain goat you can make your way down the steep and rocky slope to the edge of the water and get a view like this, with the water right at your feet.
