Nobody does Moraine Lake like you man. :) Another beautiful one. I wish the trees were a little lighter on the right, but otherwise this is gorgeous. I love this perspective--had I known that this was at the bottom of the Rockpile I would have tried to scuttle down to it. Nice job.

I knew about your work in Photoburst.net, with your great capture "Icefield Parkway". I did a simple search about you on google and I was suprised to found you on TE too...
I have one simple question about your photography. Why f/13? Is the better apperture to get the best of your lens?

By the way... The photo is just stunning. No words... the light, the persperctive, the colors, the subjects in right place... Perfect.

Keep going Alvin... I think you gave me the inspiration to start uploading photos again. I goes almost 2 years and a half since a did my last upload.

A+++ picture and place. I like it all. Nice composition and amazing colours.
Have you thought about panoramic picture of this place? I think it would be great to capture and stich at least 3 vertical shots of this place.

a great POV for sure. on this one the reflection of the cloudy sky is lovely, and i like very much the tones and textures of the foreground rock

what a shot! This one is sheer class! Love the golden light you got here, I especially like these illuminated trees, they look stunning! Good inclusion of these rocks in the foreground and these reflections are simply gorgeous. A wonderful shot of a place that I would love to visit myself. Hi Alvin,
when I see your last photos, I never know which I like more, and have doubts on which of them to comment.
Finally I have decided on this one, because its wonderful mountain landscape, its splendid sky with clouds, and its beautiful reflections in the mirror of the water.
The quality of image is very high, and the sharpness is perfect from foreground up to background.
It is a very beautiful and elegant work.

Hello Alvin!
That's a pretty eye-catching and wonderful image! The vertical format was so well chosen so you could insert so many important details in this scene! I love the symmetrical reflection - I even think that the bottom part of it (the mirror in the surface of the lake) is better looking than the real one (on top) - and I also like a lot the very foreground with the rocks and the neatness of the water! I creates such a marvelous piece of pleasure to my eyes!

Hi Alvin,

this is one very impressive photo!
Absolutely fantastic motives creating a piece of art.
The angle is superb as it captures the depth of the scene with most sharp rocks in front that add to already perfect overall sharpness of the scenery and photo quality.
The only smooth intervention is half dark half bright yellow hill that cuts into the scene as perfect graphical element, that breaks almost dual tone scene of blue and grey-brown and adds that final touch which takes this photo on the highest level.

Your composition is perfect Alvin. It really is. Wouldn't change a bit. I am also a shore guy... I always want to by the water, be it on beaches or lakes. Never know how to make a photo from a higher pov. But I need to try it. ;)
The colors are also very nice. The only thing that I don't like is the stripe of darkness in the right center. I know it has some detail, but I would have tried to reveal even more detail from that area. But that's personal taste.
It's a great photo.
