Photographer's Note
In Cape Town's traditional Malay quarter there is a lot of pride in the houses and buildings, which have all been renovated and painted in bright colors. This shot was taken as I came out of an upper level of the Malay museum. The black door and series of receding scenes going out from that really intrigued me. The distant view of the street tucked away on the upper right of the photo just brought it all together.
