Photographer's Note
Swellendam, a beautiful historic town founded in 1745 by the Dutch VOC, situated in the Overberg region, is the third oldest settlement in SA and a Cape Dutch architectural jewel. This Dutch Reformed Church at Voortrek Straat, is one of the amazing buildings in town - an imposing white edifice built in 1911 in an eclectic style to form an astonishingly harmonious ensemble.

Excellent point of view on this interesting and imposing church. Very well exposed taking full account of the whitewashed walls and the abundant clouds, the latter contributing much to the mood of the composition. Optimal technical quality as ever.
