Photographer's Note
A shot taken at an old fishing village of Kassiesbaai at Arniston, Overberg region - a picturesque historic area and relatively unchanged since 1850 that hasn't been harmed by new and modern development. The thatched, whitewashed cottages certainly have prime position looking out over the turquoise sea. The low doors and little windows in the thick stone walls keep the houses cool in summer and warm in winter.
The quaint, well-kept buildings are still preserved in its original style and colour to this day. It has been declared a national monument.
