Photographer's Note
This is a picture of a very brave person on the ocean with a parasail. The wind was very strong, and occasionally, it looked as if he was about to take off. In the background is a boat full of divers. Sodwana Bay is very well know for its brilliant diving destinations.
I have cropped and added some contrast with sharpening.

Its a nice composition, and you did a good job at cropping in the right places, but the picture is of pretty bad quality. It doesnt look like you used a tripod, which good be some of the problem, but if you had made it mabe 75% as big, and then blurred it a little, it would have looked overall crisper and more proffesional.
Also, i would have edited the sky a little... i just think the color is a little boring.

I would love to be on the end of that rope right now Judy :-)The photo is well composed and offers a nice harmony of blues but something seems to have happened in your post-processing....possibly over-sharpening or colour changes in the contrast enhancement?
Thanks for the winter break:-)

This picture reminds me of this one.
I think you should have used neatimagedemo (freeware of neatimage) to greatly enhance the quality of the sky.
Then (and not before) you can sharpen and tune the contrast.
Nice shot anyhow :)

Very dramatic photo. The silhouette of the man in the water and the boat behind him really makes this photo. However, it does need to be more sharp. I will try a workshop...

I think this is a great composition, the imagined diagonal line between the man and his parachute is great. The fact that he and the boat is all dark like a silhouetto also give an interesting touch. I actually think that the graininess adds to the feel of a hot day by the beach in some way. I guess you cropped this quite heavily and that is why there is so much grain. The bright reflections on the waves are also great.

They do this off the Dutch coat at Schreveningen also. They call it kite-surfing and sometimes they can jump up to eight meters when thy hit a wave and land on the next wave. Its impressive. I have some shots I may post one day.
You seem to have the same problem with noise in the sky that I get sometimes.
Oops, I just checked the workshop. There is my answer as usual - NeatImage

Maybe it is my professional deformation but I like your grains and braveness about the post...I think sky is a bit contradicting though...after all, I really loved this pic
