Photographer's Note
In 2006, we made a tour by taxi in the province Fatick in West Senegal. It was in the month of September what means that the rain season has not yet expired. A good time to travel because you do not have much charge of the showers. When the rain falls however the sky breaks open. An enormous quantity of water falls within limited time and villages change in mud pits. The local population of Toubakouta knows how to deal with that, one withdraws oneself under a porch roof and waits quietly till the rain stops.

Hallo Ingrid,
Groetjes, Henk
