Bonjour
De mes archives elle file Madame autruche elle a été surprise, une petit image capté le 14 avril 1984 dan le parc national du W au Niger.
Ce parc national est au cœur d'un complexe naturel transfrontalier de près d'un million d'hectares géré conjointement par le Bénin, le Niger et le Burkina Faso.
Le parc national du W du Niger au Niger est inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO et reconnu en tant que réserve de biosphère transfrontière.
En plus ce que je me rappelle c'est la chaleur à Niamey et dans ce parc.

hello Nicolas, Marvelous picture of this ostrich-ess running. I love the dynamics of the scene. especially her right leg just leaving the ground. Fantastic black and white picture. Now you do not travel so far anymore.

Bien prise cette autruche en pleine course, elle parait rapide avec le bon effet de cette enjambée et l'effet de filé,bonne netteté pour l'athlète et bon contraste en n&b, très réussie.

C'est qu'elle gambade la jeune fille, et il faut faire vite pour l'attraper dans le viseur, elle ne s'arrête pas pour la prise de vue.
Le noir et blanc est parfait pour restituer l'ensemble;

Hello Nicolas,
What a wonderful "portrait" of the ostrich. You captured it with perfect sharpness, except for the motion blur of its legs, which shows us it speed. It looks so majestic and elegant. I didn't go to W, but the heat was just as bad in the south of the country.

Belle prise et bon effet de vitesse avec la patte avant floue et le nuage de sable soulevé par la patte arrière. En plus elle va de gauche à droite, sens de notre lecture,donc la vitesse est accélérée.

Tu as bien capturé le déplacement de l'oiseau. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'autruche. Le noir et blanc semble donner de la vitesse à l'oiseau. Bonne journée.

What a wonderful photograph from 35 years ago! The technical quality might not be up to the standards of modern digital imaging but the dynamics of the scene are fabulous as you have captured this flightless bird as she sprints across this ground kicking up dust.
The impression of speed and motion is terrific and you captured that perfectly here!

Fantastic archival photograph. Not many people have ever visited this country I suppose which makes the contribution even more interesting.
The bird seems to be on the run which makes the capture so interesting and was certainly not easy to capture.

Nicolas, ostrichs are fast runners, you were prompt to capture it in this position. It is the biggest bird on earth and it can t fly. Pleasant black and white picture taken in the magnificent W national park. Amitié

Bonjour Nicolas,
A nice action photo of this ostrich running away. Here in the Netherlands we always think that an ostrich sticks its head in the sand when there is danger, but here we can see that they can also run fast.
