Photographer's Note

South-West Africa (Afrikaans: Suidwes-Afrika; German: Sόdwestafrika) was the name that was used for the modern day Republic of Namibia during the earlier eras when the territory was controlled by the German Empire and later by South Africa.

So I guess this is what inspired the name of this old cafι and grocery store.

There are quite a few of these photographically interesting buildings on the outskirts of Lόderitz heading into the township, but Lόderitz itself has some beautiful architecture form the old mining days.
