Photographer's Note
Snakes alive! Almost titled this as "My worst nightmare" As if the 3 cobras aren't enough, there are equally deadly puff adders in the bg. Taken in the Marrakesh square which even got a mention in the old Crosby Stills and Nash single, Marrakesh: "Charming cobras in the square"
Jemaa el-Fnaa or Djemaa el Fna, is perhaps the most famous square in all of Africa and is the centre of city activity and trade. Before you pay for photos make sure you can take several. The 'charmer' was Not so charming, and stuck a hat in front of my lens demanding another euro after just one shot.
"Looking at the world through the sunset in your eyes
Traveling the train through clear Moroccan skies
Ducks and pigs and chickens call
Animal carpet wall to wall
American ladies five-foot tall in blue
Sweeping cobwebs from the edges of my mind
Had to get away to see what we could find
Hope the days that lie ahead
Bring us back to where they've led
Listen not to what's been said to you
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
All aboard the train, all aboard the train
I've been saving all my money just to take you there
I smell the garden in your hair
Take the train from Casablanca going south
Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my mouth
Colored cottons hang in the air
Charming cobras in the square
Striped djellebas we can wear at home Well, let me hear you now
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
All on board the train, all on board the train
All on board

Hello dear Chris,
Something quite different in your gallery !
It reminded me to a modern artwork rather than a dangerous reptile !
Very good pov and sharpness.
Interesting notes.
TFS and best regards

Hello Chris,
That's right, sssss! Better you than me, I'd not go near these critters even if my life depended on it. In fact, my life would depend on not going near them!
Regards,
MT

Hi Chris,
Not fond of snakes at all, takes lots of guts to come near such reptiles.
but a nice shot at.
We have a saying in Israel, goe's like this: Wear a high boots - to be aware of the snakes in your neighborhood...
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hello Chris,
Not everybody's cup of tea, but I don't mind at all. I wonder what the word is for a group of cobras? Well framed and good control over depth of field to put the emphasis on the one rising highest. Very good rendering of the colours and textures in the leathery skin.

Bonjour Chris,
Voici des bestioles que je prιfθre voir en photos plutτt qu'en vrai. Elles sont vraiment luisantes et regardent de haut comme si elles dιcidaient que tu ne ferais pas un mauvais dιjeuner.
Amicalement

Hello Chris,
the three cobras arranged themselves in an excellent way and you cropped the scene effectively so as to give great impact to the three characters in a group portrait. It could be a mythical creature with three heads:) The shapes, the textures and the metallic sheen in their bodies create an effect that is both mesmerizing and creepy. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hi Chris,
Those snakes remind me of Indiana Jones movies. Shiny snake skin makes good combination with sackcloth background. Well done getting two heads sharp within short range.

Hello Chris,
I would also be afraid with the big Cobras in my area.
Only in the Zoo I have seen cobras.
Sharp and clear with pleasant colours.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Ciao Chris
Love your note. Definitely my worst nightmare coupled with something even worse than poisoning snakes, a grasping, charmless snake-charmer. But then who's going to argue with a guy who has 4 deadly snakes under his enchantment. Love the definition, the texture and extra brownie points for getting so close and not wobbling the shot...all of which I would have done.
Cheers and happy day to you
Lisa
