In Muslim Spain, the oriental tradition in architecture found a new breath of fresh air and a new originality that the Almoravid , from Andalusia, transposed in the eleventh century while building Marrakech, and contributing to the birth of the Moorish Moroccan Art.
Largely characterized by three elements: the arabesque with stylized foliage, calligraphy and its representation of verses from the Holy Quran, and the octagon geometric pattern.

Un tιmoignage vivant du rafinement d’une culture et d’un ensemble d’Arts ancrιs dans la terre, dans les cœurs et dans le temps.
Dans l’Espagne musulmane, la tradition orientale en architecture trouve un nouveau souffle et une originalitι que les Almoravides, ΰ partir de l’Andalousie, transposeront au XI° siθcle en fondant Marrakech, contribuant ΰ la naissance de l’art hispano-mauresque au Maroc.
Largement caractιrisι par trois ιlιments : l’arabesque au feuillage stylisι et entrelacι, la calligraphie et sa reprιsentation de l’ιcriture des versets du Coran et le motif gιomιtrique de l’octogone.
