I have seen this place other times, but this is the first time I see with this pov, and in black and white.

je crois avoir déjà vu des compositions tournant autour de cette lanterne, mais je trouve ta version noir et blanc très réussie, donnant la part belle au jeu d'ombre sur le mur.
un titre tout en poésie pour accompagner les pas de cet homme.

I have seen this place photographed before too but I really like the quality and timing of your black and white image here - a great space for him to walk in to - great tonal range in one sense but the high contrast loss of his clothing detail would bother me in a larger print - yet still a stunning graphic image.

Marrakech la rouge en N&B, voilà un choix audacieux.
Du coup, on perd un peu l'essence de cette merveilleuse ville, ses couleurs flamboyantes étant une telle identité... mais ce n'est que mon avis, et il en reste de toute façon une image d'une grande délicatesse. Quand la simplicité devient élégance.
(je vais vraiment être chiante, mais un demi-pas avant que l'homme n'atteigne l'ombre aurait été parfait ;o)

Une belle composition minutieusement cadrée. Le graphisme est superbe. Le choix du noir et blanc permet de concentrer l'attention sur l'excellent cadrage et sur la texture des matières. Beaucoup de simplicité, mais du superbe travail, un grand bravo !

i like the way you show it from the "other" POV with no colors (where people like a lot the pink of the wall)
square is also a smart choice to cut off the empty places around.

L'effet graphique est percutant et l'illusion fait sourire. On dirait que le passant tient au bout des doigts l'ombre qui s'étale en accordéon sur le mur... c'est assez amusant. L'ambiance semble bien dramatique. On dirait un tango avec la lumière. Bravo!

c'est une belle image que tu as capturé.
et surtout pas usuelle...car marrakech est liée surtout aux tonalitées de rouge....mais le blanche et noire ici est le choix le plus correct...car on se peut concentrer sur l'hombre et l'homme qui s'en va

I guess everybody shoots the mosque and the minaret on the Koutoubia place... including me =)
I like your approach, it's closer to us, the viewers, the walkers, the visitors, when we turn our eye we probably see what you shot here...
great cropping by the way - many don't like squared images but I personally find them very intriguing.

J'aime beaucoup cette version en N&B de ces ombres de ce mur.
Elle est complémentaire des versions couleurs que tu nous as déjà présentées et avec son originalité elle a toute sa place dans le thème des Ombres de Marrakech.

Une ombre géante et magique que tu as su capté avec classe.Le personnage fait bien ressortir la taille de cette ombre, et le noir et blanc et judicieux...

Hello Patrice,
Excellent jeu d'ombre et de lumière. Une photographie pour laquelle le noir et blanc va comme un gant.
La diagonale crée par l'ombre permet à l'oeil de jouer le yoyo entre la personne et la lampe.
