Photographer's Note

El-Jadida, described as a holiday resort for Maroccans is indeed nice place with interesting beach.
One of the attractions (actually the only one) is the Portuguese Fortified City of Mazagan, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004, on the basis of its status as an "outstanding example of the interchange of influences between European and Moroccan cultures" and as an "early example of the realisation of the Renaissance ideals integrated with Portuguese construction technology".
This Portuguese Fortified City would be somewhere on the right hand side of this picture.

I met this guy early morning. He was searching some fruits of the sea, but i don't know it's name. In workshop another view, including the fruit itself.
If you noticed this guy is not wearing wellingtons, only sandals. Photo was taken in the end of December, so water in the ocean was really freezing. I reckon it was his every day task, allowing to earn a little money.

The funny part is that after a few minutes wandering around this beach i me 2 guys who at first were very polite, but later they asked something like 'We are going to the cafe, would you like to go with us and bu us a cup of coffee?'... I don't really know how to interpret this, but i think it was maroccan hospitality...
