Photographer's Note

One of the estimated 2,100 (most still unexcavated) sphinxes that line the ancient road between the Temples at Karnak and the Temple of Luxor, on the East Bank of the Nile in ancient Thebes. I took many pictures of these sphinxes as the sun started to set. I was mostly trying to capture them all, but then decided to do some more detailed studies. In this case, I had to make a decision about whether or not to include the sphinx's right paw...I decided not to, because it was in line with the rear of the next sphinx and ruined the photograph more than cropping out the end of the paw. Would like to know your thoughts.
