Photographer's Note
Enroute from Luxor to Hurghada through the Sahara Desert, there are many rocky ranges that the road twists and turns through. This was one of the last before the road drops down to Hurghada on the Red Sea. Its a famous resort for diving on reefs. But I had a flight to Sharm El Sheik to catch.

Hello Chris,
Roads can be great lead lines but are often just a little boring; not in this case, the wiggle and the dip add to its effective usage.
Either side, the land is both rugged and colourful.
From what I have seen of Egypt on the tv, I never imagined anything like this!
It's a beautifully composed photograph, sharp and well saturated.

Desert colors always show a multitude of warm colors, fropm red to brown, grey and black, the lone green tree is the exceptional tone, Chris.
The asphalt road dissappearing behind the far side curve adding mystery to the scene.
A fine photo, superbly taken from a stopover point, I assume.

Hello Chris,
I like this kind of desert scenery, especially with a black road with white lines cutting through it. I get a feeling you have pushed the colours quite a bit, but I may be wrong. It can be due to the very special conditions of the desert.

In Belgium are all roads everyday completely full, here we see no car!
This must are, a very pleasant to make a trip.
The road nice between the big rocks.

Hi Chris,
Wonderful desert landscapeview where that road disappears behind a hill. That tree is a great detail, surviving in a place where no other mentionable vegetation exists. That new, almost black asphalt must be very very hot!
