Photographer's Note
This is a closer view of the opening at the north side of the Pyramid of Khufu. You will observe that after the massive, horizontally layed, blocks of stones at the exterior, behind it are equally big blocks of stones but layed diagonally following the pyramid slope. Two openings are placed on the Khufu Pyramid. This one on the north side and another one on the south side. The openings are necessary for exploration and for bringing back artifacts from inside. This photograph is a good example on comparing the scale of the stone blocks against the sizes of people.

Hi Andre,
How to show one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world in his full glory so that people who never been there get an impression how big this is.
Well, you did exaclty the right thing. Showing the stones and the people on them. It have stood there myself and yes they are huge...really impressive. And your photo really enhabces that feeling...perfect..!!!

Oh wow, this is an excellent shot. I love how you've emphasised the sheer size of the pyramid, which is not at all obvious in most traditional shots taken from much further away without people for scale. The light on the blocks gives a wonderful impression of colour and shading, too. Well done!
