Photographer's Note
Ouidah is arguably one of Benin's most picturesque cities. Steeped in the dark history of West African slave trade, the city has a number of interesting attractions including the old Portuguese Fort (now a museum) and the commemorative Route des Esclaves which connects the main part of town to the beach, as seen here early in the morning.

Hi Caleb.
Beautiful image of the palm, the fog that envelops the background, adds a touch of mystery, beautiful contrast to the golden sand. Well done.
Have a nice day.
Best regards.
Luis.

Ohh what a nice and impressive atmosphere is this!
Excellent the misty atmosphere early in the morning, with the empty chairs on the foreground and the high palm trees on the other scene, to create a spectacular sight.Well done.

Hello Caleb, really a picturesque place with its wonderful tropcal ambience. Palm trees look quite elegant against the grey, misty weather. Congratulations Tolga

Bonjour Caleb
I like the hazy, misty atmosphere & the inviting empty seats and tables at right. Marvellous repetition of the coconut palms & the oblique angles of some of them add dynamism. I would boost contrast a little. Tfs!

Hi Caleb,
very interesting atmosphere. You show us a very unusual image of the paradise. I like the silhouettes of palm trees disappearing in the distance behind the fog. And the table in the foreground.
Excellent work,
M

Hi Caleb,
i am fascinated of Africa and would like to see many countries here, Benin included! I like your nice shot from Oidah beach. The mist creates a desolate atmosphere in this wonderful place. It looks like a good place to visit during a holiday, Tfs!
Have a nice evening.

Hello Caleb,
I find this photo very interesting - It looks like fog but perhaps it is a storm brewing up - the different shades of the trees looks really effective & I thought the beach was deserted until I spotted two '' workers '' in the back ground.
I like the POV very much.
Kindest regards,
Dawn.

Hi Caleb,
An intriguing moment captured here, it's hard to tell whether sand or dust is blowing in the distance, or is it simply a morning haze/fog?? Whatever the case, it's enough to pique curiosity and set an interesting atmosphere to the image.
This really does look like quite a scenic and peaceful setting...hard to be stressed or uptight when surrounded by this kind of scenery and warmth. :) Always enjoyable to see pictures from places not often seen here, originality goes a long way. Hope you're having a nice weekend. Take care.
All the best,
Jason
