Hello Iain,
I love this one, if only for it gives us insight into life in places where people are less forunate than ourselves.
I really do feel for that poor donkey. And, am I right (as a retired surgeon I'm still quite observant) in thinking that this poor beast's rear offside (or nearside in Morocco, I suppose!) leg has been damaged and is wizened and useless, so the poor animal is essentially three-legged? It looks just so very, very sad and I think, in this country at least, it should end up enjoying its last few years in a sanctuary where it can have some happy times before its eventual demise.
And I wonder what these chaps are talking about all the time this poor beast is suffering?
This might not be your sharpest or best exposed or best composed photograph, Iain, but it is beautifully poignant and I love it!
A great insight into true life in Marrakech!
Wonderful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Just heartbreaking. The poor donkey is iconic suffering. Let the man make a living another way! Capture of such misery but also majesty of the little beast.
