Great fkostas 2008-08-17 11:13

Hi Alfred,

I missed this one somehow. I prefer it very much to the no surfing one. This has better depth, and the colours are nicer. I even like the people, which usually bother me. I'm surprised that this photo was done in the bright light with a relatively slow shutter. How is this possible? The narrow aperture?

Default To fkostas: The narrow aperture?

Exposure Time 1/60
F-Stop f/16
ISO Speed Ratings 100
Focal Length 48 mm
Metering Mode Spot
File Size 285 kb

Hi farah,

Thanks for comments.

The following settings account for the slower speed under bright lighting conditions:

- high f/stop, therefore small aperture. f/16 gives a better DOF(i.e. range of focus)
- lowest ISO of 100
- Use of Polariser filter.

Hope that helps.
