Great cgrindahl 2004-12-24 18:39

You don't have much light on the first day of winter, but you manage the scene very well Stephen, giving us a look at England in its full mantle of gloooom. I grew up in Minnesota with its harsh, cold winters and bright sunlight, even in winter. When I moved as an adult to Seattle, the thing that I found most troubling was the loss of the sun through most of the winter. I planned on doing some graduate study in Edinburgh while living in Seattle and checked the weather in England. I was surprised to discover that Seattle has about the same amount of sunlight during the year as London has.

All that said, this is a fine capture, with good detail, especially the bare trees.

Hope you have a fine holiday Stephen. We'll meet again, hopefully in the new year.
