Hi Bulent,
Your info about this historical place is, as always, of great educational value.
But when I saw the picture I thought in the first place at the landscape painters of our Golden Age.

To alvaraalto: Dutch Goden Age
Hi Rob,
It truly looks like a work from the Dutch Golden Age, perhaps Jacob van Ruisdael, who liked these greens. There is an exhibition going on at the Metropolitan Meusem of Art that I would love to see. But the frenetic pace of teaching and work on the new book may make that impossible. Have a good weekend, Bulent
