Good Emiel_Skyfreak 2007-02-01 14:31

Is christmas always on 6 january where you live ?

I see date taken : 2007-01-06

We celebrate it on 25 and 26 december..

Nice photo however, very fine colours, but the sharpness could have been a bit better, it seems a little blurred..

Default To Emiel_Skyfreak: Christmas in January

Hi Emiel,

indeed, Christmas is in January. At least in countries with Orthodox Christians. Unlike us, they use another calendar (NOT the Gregorian one) for their church feasts.
It΄s not only in Ukraine - but also in Greece, Serbia and other orthodox countries.

I've heared about countries celebrating Christmas on other days indeed, but didn't knew the details of it. Thanks for your info, I've learned something now...and that's what the site is for ;)

Greetings,
Emiel.
