Good kryger 2006-10-04 5:06

It's a nice photo, but the colours are a bit dull - a increased the saturation and the image is more vivid and fresh.
You could've take a broader view, so the ambience of that place was stronger - this way it's hard to make out how high is it etc.
You could also make a bit sharper, I believe there is some software capable of doing that.

Default To kryger: Workshop - saturation

Hi there,

Its always nice when some one appreciates a photo, thank you!

I try to leave my pictures as real as possible. Yes, increasing saturation would have made the colours "come out" but the colours in that place were dull!

It hadn't rained for some time so the dust was all around us and the sand-stone mountains looked as if they had been dusted in flour!

I wish I had a wider angle lens - I am sure I wanted to take more of the scene into the picture. Any way, I took a portrait shot because I wanted to show the cavern underneath - it just brings out a bit of the danger element regarding where the guys were standing!
