We all LOVE to take pictures. This is very clear, but we also have "real jobs" and everyday lives out side of photography. I want to know what other people do. I assume that I am not the only person on this site that isn't a photographer by trade.
Some times it's nice to really get to know our fellow man, and realize that we have everyday life in common, too. AND.... if you post it in the subject box, it saves a lot of clicking when (or if) a lot of people respond. Wrangell |

I work for a small Alaskan company, Grant Aviation. I work alone and this is when I have time to get on TE. There are only two people working in Anchorage at any given time, but we fly to a lot of villages that are very busy.
I think some how we have something to learn from this forum, even if I don't know what it is yet. |

Hi, I am a project manager in IT (databases, web applications) and in a week time I will be a traveler for a few months...
Would be good to work on photography projects for time to time in order to breath a little... |

Hi,
No professional photographer, I am simply a draftsman in the field of the plastic (agro-alimentary, household, technical parts,…). And concerning the photograph, that remains a beautiful passion which I try to share as much as possible. Regards Philippe PS:And I find that this thread is a good idea |

Thanks Philippe. I'm glad my first forum is a success. I think that many would agree that it would be great to drop everything, quit work, tell our boss where to stick it, and follow the passion to take pictures... getting paid for it of-course.

I'm glad that other people want to work in the direction of being a professional photographer, too. Dan, how long do you think it will take you? And, as a side note, what is the point were a person goes from ammature to professional? Always wondered and felt it was a step from humility to boasting...

Living in Alaska I choose to lead a pretty simple life. TE is the most technical I have ever been. IT sounds like a very technical job, and I'm not trying post a pun.
I hope you have a great trip. Where are you heading? Be sure to post and share with us. Wrangell |

Hi,
I'm a chemical engineer. Well actually I'm only a student... But I maybe want to become a lawyer. Good question. It was already asked, but maybe more people can answer this time. Cheers, Louis |
