Hello Jorge,

Memories of a turbulent history!
The plaster copy of the marble sculpture is certainly something to be seen and admired but ... the thought of grave furniture in the middle of a room in the palace feels uncomfortable to me.
Perhaps in the hallway would have been better. However, that is not your fault, you only recorded it and explained its history.

this is a sculpture from a cemetery, I presume the family hadn't any copy of it inside the home, at least in a public part. maybe the administration of the museum have had the idea to put the copy here because it was part of the history of the family. most of the original precious artwork of the house were sold or are in the main russian museums.
