Hello Friends,
Just a simple suggest : As You know we have an option in our profile page as follow : Featured Photos Display: "Random" ,"Highest Rated" and "Most Recent". I change those frequently. If You notice, the "Highest Rated" is focused on the points. But I think another interesting one can be "Most Viewed" in the featured photos display that has not focuse on the points. I'll be glad to know your opinion. All the Best Mohammad |

Mohammad, that sounds good. There is often a strong difference between any rating (in amount of critiques or smileys) and views. I think views expresses a lot about the eye catching impression of the preview.
And I think there needs to be any switching or something for "Large versions" versus "Non Large Versions" as the previous often get more views (maybe because of the special filter for panos?). And this only for the Featured Photos Display would avoid any senseless competition. Lieben Gruss, Ulf |

Number of viewa has to do with search engine listing it on top page... I have a picture, that is not specially eye catching or anything special, but it just went over 100 000 views...!

Pity that top keywords by google is distorting this possibility ,giving indeed a false idea, the price you have to pay for being linked so intensive to google, on the other hand chosing those keywords liked by google will increase the visibility on the net ...

Henk,
Next time I'll upload, I'll call the photo after the hotel in Paris. :))) Other option is to take photos of popular places . . . and it is a bit of a surprise. I can understand The empire state building, the great wall, Gizeh, but the rest??? . . . I was so surprised I had to post this . . . View most popular locations in Google Earth 1. Empire State Building [120591 hits] 2. Michael Jordan's house [80003 hits] 3. Great Wall of China [65549 hits] 4. Bill Gates' house [62727 hits] 5. Square One [61750 hits] 6. Victoria Falls [55540 hits] 7. UFO over Florida [54218 hits] 8. Man, Dog and a Stick! [49490 hits] 9. Atomic Bomb Crater [47483 hits] 10. Nazca lines [44331 hits] 11. Nike Headquarters [43694 hits] 12. Hollywood sign [43533 hits] 13. State Guest House [43140 hits] 14. Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch [43025 hits] 15. Aaron Spelling's house [41980 hits] 16. Giza pyramid complex [41289 hits] 17. Great Sphinx of Giza [40080 hits] 18. City of Dubai [38133 hits] 19. Six Flags Great Adventure [36092 hits] 20. Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant [35401 hits] 21. John Travolta's Jumbolair [32203 hits] (sorry to mess up the topic . . .my two cents . . . maybe an option to choose three photos ourselves and give a name, like "photos I really would like people to critique") |
