Hello Indrajit,
Another fantastic capture of you fabulous Himalayas. The perspective that you composed is excellent and your scanning and analog to digital conversion was quite good. I have a suggestion if you don't mind. I have found that the skies on scanned images can get a little noisy and "chunky" looking sometimes. After I work on a scanned image and I sharpen the entire image, I use Photoshop's "magic wand" tool on the sky and do some noise reduction on the sky only. If this doesn't reduce the noise sufficiently, I will use the magic wand on the sky and use the "photo blur" tool (or "camera blur"... I can never remember the name of this tool) in the "filters" pull down menu. The photo blur rendition is much more subtle and doesn't blur the well-defined edges between the sky and the landscape below like "gaussian blur" does. I have found this technique to be very useful for me. Anyway, congratulations on another stunning scenic of your rugged and majestic mountains.

Hi Indrajit,
I just used this filter. It is called "lens blur". I wanted to tell you the correct name of the filter before I forgot again. Stan |
