Great holmertz 2020-06-15 2:07

Hello Bev,
These are the kind of former industrial buildings that have in recent decades frequently been converted into beautiful museums, concert halls or hotels. I wonder what the apartments look like in this former mill. The buildings are beautifully situated, but would they possibly provide a slightly dull living environment? The buildings are so big and grey. On the other hand, exciting playgrounds for the kids are just a few meters away.
But I don't have to test the living standard here. I am free to just enjoy this photo with its lovely light on the green hills.
Kind regards,

Default To holmertz: Old Buildings

Thank you for your thoughtful critique, Gert.

Isn't it funny how people can perceive things so differently!
Big and grey, never crossed my mind; just large, strong and full of character, clicked with me.
Whereas, I wouldn't want to live in a shared building, that is the only reason I would shun this. I think it looks an amazing building and feel sure the interesting features of its earlier use will have been retained where possible. The views will be superb, too!

I have seen inside a similar mill conversion near Skipton.
The apartments are absolutely superb. For people who want to live in an amazing, building, oozing character, and don't want to be responsible for a garden, just a small seating area, these tick all the boxes.

Have a good day,
