Great holmertz 2022-10-07 7:04

Hello Bev,
Both photos are interesting, and I don't even have to say they are well taken. I must admit that I didn't immediately understand how this wooden wall could make much difference, but then I found a site called, where a very interesting aerial view made things much clearer. I can't remember having ever seen a beach like that before. The WS makes me curious of what I see on the wall to the right. Is there a large painting? If so, don't you have any photos of it?
Today I also learned the word 'groyne'. I will try to remember it. ;-)
Kind regards,

Default To holmertz: Groynes and Murals

Hello Gert,

I cannot show everywhere that I have seen groynes but I remember posting this from Brittany where the groynes are different but serve the same purpose.

As regards the paintings on the wall, there are several and I didn't capture them this time as I posted examples when I previously visited Sheringham

I hope this helps, Bev :-)

Thank you Bev for reminding me of what I had forgotten after a few years.
Kind regards,
