Hello Pat
By this time you must have been back home! I plan to visit the tiger temple next year more for my daughter...Good framing here with the monk and the tiger seemigly resting so cozily. Recently I read reports of tigers being trafickked from here to the lucrative skin & bone market in China & I was aghast!

To Angshu: I heard all the furor
after I had visited the temple. However, the most specific negative information is from several years ago. More recent reports have more positive comments. In any case, the tigers I saw seemed quite playful and attached to their monks. I noticed one adolescent tiger back up and sit down in his monk's lap. While there were more foreign volunteers than monks present; the situation seemed quite well controlled with great care taken to keep all guests beside or behind the tigers.
