Great emka 2015-04-14 0:17

Hello Klaudio, I have read about these Towers of Silence bit it seemed to me that they are in India. What a strange custom. Splendid shot with the people dancing. The good opportunity to abserve something very interesing and even take part in it a bit. Very intesting shot. Thanks for sharing.

Warm regard s Malgo

Default To emka: Iranian Originally

Hi Malgo. The disposal of the dead harks back to Zoroastra who founded the Zoroastrian religion, probably the world's earliest monotheistic religion. When the Arabs conquered the Iranians (who are of indo-European origin) , the staunch believers of Ahura Mazda left for India. Over there they are known as Parsees. Pozdrav.
