Thanks for your visit Mariusz,
We were travelling independently too, which gave us more time to admire this kind of things.
It's not often the major interest in guided tours to show the vegetation.
However, we are very interested in observing flora and would have asked the locals if we hadn't known.
Fortunately, there were some old almonds from last year, still on the tree and on the ground.
But I must admit, with young children, it's not always easy to find the time to see everything. We are way past that stage :-)
Also, I often take the photo because I like it, and do the research later while preparing the post. There isn't much you can't find nowadays on Google or Google images.
Anyway, I am glad you have learnt something new from my post. This is one of the most interesting particularities of TE.
