Great tyro 2011-11-25 16:37

Hello Iain,

I love this one, if only for it gives us insight into life in places where people are less forunate than ourselves.

I really do feel for that poor donkey. And, am I right (as a retired surgeon I'm still quite observant) in thinking that this poor beast's rear offside (or nearside in Morocco, I suppose!) leg has been damaged and is wizened and useless, so the poor animal is essentially three-legged? It looks just so very, very sad and I think, in this country at least, it should end up enjoying its last few years in a sanctuary where it can have some happy times before its eventual demise.

And I wonder what these chaps are talking about all the time this poor beast is suffering?

This might not be your sharpest or best exposed or best composed photograph, Iain, but it is beautifully poignant and I love it!

A great insight into true life in Marrakech!

Wonderful!

Kind Regards,

John.

Default To eversmile: Hi Marine

Thanks for this long comment and the mix of funny serious words. You know that I am too much. I have no inhibitions to confess even my darkest secrets.
Well I won't be the P actor now as it was my teenage dream not the adult dream.
For the picture yeah I know its not my best or not even the half of my best. But I guess I don't always post for displaying my best. I just wanted to share a secret or my stories intertwined with this picture.
This picture I took in Digha which is a beach in West Bengal. Normally people run to goa but as Goa is too crowded I chose Shankerpur the isolated beach near digha. I saw fishermen with their nets early morning and singing songs and much os scenic beauty rather than beer bottle and cigarette butts on the beach. The plan was to spend sometime away from office and also from Camera even though I carried my camera.
Coming Monday I am again joining my office so that busy life full of tensions and insecurity and politics starts again. But I will fight it.

By the way the Bonda tribes had sent me a mail inquiring about you. They were worried as they have not heard from Marine for a long time as were asking when you will visit them and take pics with your new 300 mm toy. :P

Stay cool.
