Great mkamionka 2021-03-07 4:40

Hi Bev,
I have read reacently that after Boris Johnson announced a promise of travel from May 17th, bookings took off and one of the most popular destinations was Pakistan. I thought it was because there are so many Pakistani leaving in the UK but I see looking at your example that it is actually considered a holiday destination here indeed.
Very interesting design of the mosque, it feels quite modern so I would think it could have been built recently.
Great reportage,
M

Thank you for your thoughtful critique, Mariusz.

I'm sure your first though was correct.
Many will be going to meet up with families, or attend weddings.
Pakistan is not really a tourist destination, there are many internal problems. I know that were I still working in school, I would not consider the trip that we undertook in 1997!

Most of the people are kind and generous but it is a very corrupt place, where policemen have to be financially rewarded, drugs are prevalent and many areas, where richer people live, have fences and armed guards on 24 hour patrol.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
