First off relaize that the 300D Kit lens is a bit soft. If you can shoot at F8 it will help a little. Try adding a little USM and you might be a little happier with your results. I think you took this shot from Annis Rd where teh open field shows this view. I have been there many times. My looking at the snow on the field I think you took your pic about the same time I took mine. I shot mine from Prest Rd access. By shooting higher it tends to add a little more perspective. To PJE: Prest Road Shot
I believe it was actually shot from some road named Gibson, I think? Not 100% sure now, wish I could remember because I'd like to retry the shot once more. I will try using the Prest Rd. area, as you may be right about shooting from a higher point. Thanks for the suggestions :)
