I understand your maternal reflex but think it out: If you never show a photo of a kid smoking, nobody will ever do anything about it.
That kid not only smokes but he doesn't go to school and works in unhealthy conditions 10 hours a day for pennies.
And who knows what else he does in the hard world he lives in.
You have to show it first so people will change it, otherwise no one will ever help that kid.

Somehow you are right
But one question ,did you say to this kid when you were shooting that is not good for him to get into bad habits?
He seems posing proud to you with that cigarette ...
I imagine my son there and I hope if one man/woman will see him like this boy ,that person will kick his ass ...having all my permission !Only for this !

No, I didn't say anything critical. The kid had enough people giving him crap all day, he didn't need some smartypants photographer telling him what to do, especially with everyone else smoking like crazy. You know Turks smoke more than they breathe ;)
Yes, he was showing off, and having his picture taken made him feel good. For a minute of his dreary day he felt special.
